Yes…I am exhausted this morning. I spent an entire afternoon with the Fashionista and a “Plus One” at the pool. I’m not sure how I manage work, Mom-hood, and Wifery, but somehow the days fall into place and I get a few stolen moments of peace. I have mastered napping just about anywhere, such as the Doctors’ office yesterday, on the lobby couch, 20 minutes of uninterrupted sleep, feet propped up (Oops…a major etiquette breach). Then onto an afternoon of watching two little girls come up with the most interesting (tiring) water games, and attempting to get me involved. I do not play the “Caterpillar Game” or spend hours doing the “Pencil Jump.” But, I will play the “Floating Game” which entails me stretching out on an inflatable lounger being pulled around the pool. The “Fashionista” and the “Plus One” didn’t understand the rules, but they will when they get to be an adult.
In between all the mayhem, I traded off with one of my friends and snuck into a Cabana to return client phone calls, schedule a family vacation and put the finishing touches on several product endorsements. Which brings me back to design, if you follow my blog you know that I am in love with Clarke and Clarke, they carry some of the most breathtakingly beautiful fabrics and wall coverings. The company is located in England, but their product is exclusively distributed in the states by Duralee. So when they contacted me and asked if I would consider placing some images from their latest product release on the blog, I didn’t even hesitate. So here are some “Ace Picks” from the latest offering of dramatic patterns, sophisticated textures, and vibrant contemporary colours from the Floribunda Collection (clarkeandclarke.com).

The contemporary colours are perfectly coordinated with the fashion forward printed designs.
I am totally enamoured with Clarke and Clarke (www.duralee.com), it’s such a refreshing change from the neutrals that have dominated the world of design state-side. Colour is the new black, and I love the vibrancy teamed with dramatic patterns that define their signature look. One more homerun from the land of the Union Jack.
