The beginning of Summer signals the start of family vacations, lazy days poolside, and if you live in Atlanta the opening of the much anticipated Southeastern Showhouse in Atlanta. While 2020 will always be remembered as a year of change, there is always always a bright light on the horizon. And if you are a design aficionado this is an opportunity to venture out (safely) to see a culmination of the best design talent from across the South.
This year the Southeastern Showhouse is located on 6 private, wooded acres in Buckhead, and is considered one of the “most sought-after in Buckhead.” Bestowed with the name Villa Flora this 11,000 square foot residence was originally designed for the late Charlie Ackerman, a prominent real estate and security industry figure described as “an iconic Atlanta civic leader.”

With a distinctive upscale Southern California vibe, Villa Flora may be as close to Southern Californa as you can get without hopping on a plane. And if you enjoy the greater outdoors you can take a walk through the wooded paradise punctuated by original sculptures, or escape the steamy southern heat by relaxing in an outdoor oasis complete with a pool and spa (with a tall cool glass of your favorite beverage).
Villa Flora was renovated in 2020 by developer Benecki Homes, SOURCE, Linda MacArthur Architect, Cole Construction, with 15 of the Southeast’s top interior designers transforming the interior of “this inspiring, light-filled residence” in painstaking detail. This one of a kind retreat is open Thursday-Sunday through June 28th and for more information you can visit here
