Build.com :: Smarter Home Improvement

by | Mar 5, 2015 | Home Improvement, Product Reviews | 0 comments

Last year was a year of projects at Casa B., the largest was Project :: Masterbath. While we sourced a great deal locally, I also ordered via the internet. It made the stress of renovating somewhat less painless if not a great deal easier. Enter build.com, last year I was contacted by a representative for build.com and asked if I would be interested in ordering a product, and writing about my experience (only if I were impressed). Since the dust was settling on our home projects for the year 2014…(did I mention that we had more for 2015?) I decided to try out build.com choosing a (stunning) Blanco kitchen faucet. Less than a week later, I received a package containing our faucet (impressive) which is going to be used in the upgrading of our kitchen. As a Design Blogger and former designer, I can honestly say that the ordering process of certain companies can be a challenge. Not true for build.com. The customer service was outstanding, I talked with a very helpful man about the installation of our  Blanco kitchen faucet. Better yet, for our next project (upgrading the kitchen) we were able to reference the buying guides and have a few online chats with an in-house expert (one of many) whom have experience working with homes from 100K to $25 million. Build.com is committed to ensuring a high-level of customer service and making sure your project goes smoothly, while giving you inspiration from online resources, informational guides to a customer service hotline. We used all the resources available and will continue to use them for a few hush-hush home improvements slotted for 2015.

The mission of build.com is to provide a unique shopping experience with the ability to chose products from some of the industries most trusted brands, and everything in between to complete your home improvement project. They carry top brands such as Currey & Co., Kohler and Bosch truly fitting a niche that provides high-end to lower range product within any size home improvement budget. As someone who works daily in the design industry, I can honestly say that this experience has truly made me a loyal customer and has made my job easier. I like the idea of having an accessible panel of experts to assist me along the occasional slippery slope of home improvement. In addition to having access to buying and installation guides, instructional videos, and a customer service hotline. It’s a total win-win for home improvement.

Is there such a thing as Smarter Home Improvement™? Yes. And I believe I found it at build.com. Of course, I wanted to share just a few of my personal picks, but they truly have home improvement products that fit any size budget, and any style of taste from appliances, hardware to home-goods.

The Blanco faucet that is going to be installed this week at Casa B., it’s chrome and it’s spectacular.

This year in addition to writing about great design I also want to review and share companies that I think are true standouts in the industry.

This story is in collaboration with builder.com, the opinions and musings are 100% my own. Although, we received product for this sponsored post, we would never write about a product or company unless it meets our high standards.
