Last week I took a “shop-cation,” not a trip that required luggage, but one that did require packing my camera bag. Don’t get me wrong I love to travel, but luckily my destination was just a short drive to downtown Atlanta from the suburbs. The end of the line was my favourite shoppe, not to buy anything, but to snap some pictures. The monetary damage had already occurred the month prior when we were shooting for Project:: Master bath, and I needed some items for a little photo shoot styling. So if you saw the pictures, then you may have noticed a few orchids, exotic seashells, soaps, lotions, candles & trays. Just a small sampling of what you will find in this picturesque former home located in the heart of Buckhead. I’ve been stopping by Lush Life frequently over the years occasionally to shop or simply immerse myself in the uncommon goods. The inventory is sophisticated, organic & unique – a visual treasure hunt of sorts. There are exotic orchids, crystal prisms, shells mixed amongst lush greenery and Himalayan salt candles. A lesson in still life on every table top, nestled in every nook & cranny. Incredible textures and shapes garnered from the sea and sand, forest and fauna.
There hasn’t been a shoppe that I’ve visited that rivals the offerings at Lush Life (www.lushlife.com). So I wanted to share my love in the form of pictures that hardly do justice to this well-appointed flower shop that goes beyond florals and centerpieces. At times, I feel like a child who is experiencing the gifts of the earth for the very first time. If it were humanly (and financially) possible, I would fill our home with it all. Unfortunately, reality sets in and he looks a lot like Mr. B. How does one live the Lush Life? Well you introduce more organic sophistication into your interior, and I hope that my photos inspire you to bring in the outdoors, in unique and interesting ways…a crystal prism, polished minerals, exotic seashells, and natural textures and shapes. I call it “Lush Living.” So here is just a small sampling of what you can find. I hope you are as inspired by the pictures as I am whenever I visit, and if you are ever in Atlanta it’s worth a stop at this charming shoppe nestled in the tony area of Buckhead.
